Jane and Jonny's beautiful tipi wedding took place at the idyllic setting of Thornsett Fields Farm, nestled amongst The Peak District National Park. The sun was shining and people all around could be seen dancing, singing, and sharing the love.
To host their perfect day the couple chose to have a triangular set up of 3 giant tipis linked with an 8m kung. We particularly loved this wedding as they used our beloved tipis throughout the whole day, apart from for the ceremony. This included everything from the delicious wedding breakfast and stunning wedding reception, right through to the evening food and celebrations.
The tipi venue offered stacks of room, allowing for any free range children to play safely within the secluded fields of the valley. Jane and Jonny used the countryside to their advantage by incorporating a multitude of outdoor activities such as bouncy castles, a DIY football pitch, and so much more! Doing so was a great way to keep absolutely everyone occupied and involved, as both adults and children could enjoy the fun and games.
Jane and Jonny also used a fab combination of rustic long tables and round tables paired with chiavari chairs across two of the giant tipis. This enabled the wedding breakfast to suit the flow of their day, and to ensure that all guests would be comfortable.
We worked very closely with Jane and Jonny to create seating arrangements that were absolutely perfect, and advised that they positioned the top table across the dance floor in the 3rd tipi. This provided them with the option to move it elsewhere for the evening entertainment and dancing, and would enable everyone to have a clear view of the bride and groom.
Having a specific table plan was an integral part of the planning, and the couple even had it made into a gorgeous piece of artwork as a statement accessory and sentimental keepsake.
Jane and Jonny’s choice of décor and theme/colour scheme reflected everything that was important to them, and made for some incredible photo opportunities. It was a day focused on love, family and celebrating at a location that meant something special - the furnishings/accessories (sourced by both ourselves and other amazing suppliers) really captured every key element of the day.
We particularly loved the use of our floral, crate and lantern displays at the entrance of the tipis, and the amazing rustic naked-cake perched on one of our beer barrels. We were also happy to install blue flood lights to highlight the outside of the tipis, and inside to create pin-spots of light on various areas.
Jane decorated the the tables beautifully with white, blue, and purple florals, along with flickering candles and delicate sprigs of lavender to dress the cream napkins. This perfectly captured the rustic-luxe theme, and ensured that the interior of Jane's reception was in keeping with the exterior.
The first dance made for romantic shots of the happy couple, complemented by giant LED 'love' letters and glittering DIY confetti. In the evening the party spilled out of the tipis and around the front area, with guest dancing and drinking around the fire bowl, and relaxing on the hay bales. It was definitely a party that you wouldn't want to miss out on!
We absolutely loved working with Jane and Jonny to create their perfect day, and are so pleased that they wanted to share it with us. They are such a lovely couple who had bundles of energy, and an abundance of ideas to contribute to the execution of such a magical day.
